The Wisconsin Architects Foundation offers several scholarship opportunities to support architecture students across Wisconsin, helping reduce financial barriers and strengthen the future of the profession. Programs include merit scholarships for Wisconsin Technical College System students, annual scholarships awarded through UW–Milwaukee’s School of Architecture & Urban Planning (SARUP), and the Dream Spaces Scholarship — a full-tuition scholarship created to support students from underrepresented backgrounds pursuing architecture at UW–Milwaukee.
Through these efforts, WAF has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships to Wisconsin architecture students while continuing its mission to invest in architectural education and the next generation of design leaders.

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve been captivated by the world of architecture. This fascination has led me to pursue a degree in Architecture Technology, a field I am deeply passionate about. My career goals are clear, as I plan to graduate from this program, gain experience designing homes at a residential architecture firm, and ultimately become a licensed architect, leading my own company."

"Prior to enrolling in the Architectural Commercial Design Program at Northwood Technical College, I worked as a historic preservationist for the National Park Service and also as a carpenter/woodworker for several private outfits. These experiences have prepared me to lead once I re-enter the workforce as an architect. From solving the logistical challenges of getting project materials to island locations in Lake Superior, to teaching interns how to carry out projects in the shop or at the jobsite, I’m already practicing leadership."

"I completed a six-year Bachelor of Architecture program in Venezuela, where I developed a deep appreciation for design, problem-solving, and the impact architecture has on people’s daily lives. After immigrating to the United States, I faced the challenge of starting over in a new system, culture, and language. As a student supporting my family while investing in my future, financial assistance would ease this burden and allow me to focus more fully on my academic and professional development."
