Evan is entering his fourth year as an architecture student in the five-year Bachelor of Architecture program at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning. With interests surrounding graphic design, visualization, and photography, Evan continues to question how architectural design can encompass emotion, comfort, and physical interaction.

Recently, Evan has been assisting former Fitzhugh Scott Fellow, Iris Xiaoxue Ma, with documenting and curating her work over the course of her two-year fellowship at UW-Milwaukee. Additionally, Evan also acted as the graphic design lead for SARUP’s annual SUPERjury event.

With the help of the WAF Dream Spaces Scholarship, Evan has been able to focus solely on his education and creating an impact within the school. The WAF Dream Spaces Scholarship committee has helped Evan make connections and gain experience from people within AIA Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Architects Foundation.

This upcoming academic year, Evan will hold a board position for AIAS Milwaukee, serving as the graphic design lead for the organization. Additionally, Evan will be partaking in S.U.R.F (Support for Undergraduate Research Fellows) with Assistant Professor Palmyra Geraki. Their research will pertain to documentation and archiving of student work in preparation for SUPERjury in the Spring. He will also be helping to coordinate under the supervision of Assistant Professor Sam Schuermann.

Also, Evan will be fulfilling the role of both student ambassador and as a photographer for the School of Architecture and Urban Planning this upcoming year.
