Join AIA Southwest WI in touring the Waunakee Community Middle School

Come join us as we tour the newly completed Waunakee Community Middle School. This state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to open this coming fall for students to house 7th & 8th graders. We'll gain insights into the sustainable design features, flexible "village" learning neighborhoods, & other wellness spaces.

After the tour, join us for happy hour at Lone Girl Brewing Company on Main Street.

• We'll meet at the front entrance - no PPE is required.

• Learn how material selection using biophilic design strategies and principles enhances the learning environment.
• Understand the design considerations specific to school safety. Including layout, hardware, and other systems.
• Explore how space planning is brought from initial design concepts through construction, balancing the needs of various age groups and the community at large.
• Evaluate the impact of daylighting and how it enhances the learning environment.
