The historic landmark of the Cathedral of St. Bernard's, originally designed by John Flad, has recently undergone a complete interior renovation. Join us as we tour this piece of history and receive project insights from the General Contractor. More information on the renovation can be found here.

• Understand the architectural and structural design considerations specific to dealing with a historic landmark building and the challenges that arose.
• Discuss the historic preservation steps that were required to get approval from Madison Landmarks Commission.
• Explore how materials, colors, and religious depictions were selected by recapping the work performed with the religious consultant.
• Evaluate the construction sequencing and processes unique to this historic building type and locations within the urban and residential mix of the neighborhood.
