Polk County Iowa is initiating a Request for Proposals (RFP) with assistance from the City of Des Moines for redevelopment of its Cherry Street Parking Lot. Currently a public and employee surface parking lot, the Cherry Street Lot is approximately 2 acres in size and is centrally located within Downtown Des Moines. The County and City are seeking an experienced development team to create a unique mixed-use project that “fills” the site and is catalytic for future development opportunities that currently exist in this portion of Downtown.
