| Codes + Standards Committee |
The AIA-WI Codes & Standards Committee hosted a session at the AIA-WI Conference in April 2026 entitled “Codes Unbound: Navigating the Rules That Shape Our Built World”. This was set up as a roundtable discussion addressing various code topics. A survey went out to AIA-WI members asking to provide their most challenging building code topic. The responses received identified five topics to be addressed:
A member of the AIA-WI Codes & Standards Committee served as facilitator, leading the discussion of the various topics with the AIA-WI members who attended this session.
Included here are summaries of those discussions: 2026 Building Code Roundtable Summary
The Codes & Standards Committee intends to continue and expand on this discussion of code topics of interest to our members, not just at conferences, but also throughout the year.
Please feel free to suggest code topics through the AIA-WI Codes & Standards Committee webpage.
