The mission of the Committee is to equip architects to advance resilience and environmental stewardship within the built environment and help communities prepare for and respond to shocks, stresses, and disasters within the State of Wisconsin.

Purpose:

• Provide resources, guidelines, and recommendations to AIA Wisconsin members seeking guidance on resilience and sustainable design principles and strategies.
• Collaborate with other professional organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to advocate for policies and programs that promote sustainable architecture.
• To establish a continuing dialogue with the Wisconsin Emergency Management offices (WEM) and a format for the discussion and resolution of problems and issues of mutual concern regarding the process for assisting Wisconsin and surrounding communities following a local natural disaster.
