We are looking for a creative, practical, MCM-obsessed architectural designer/illustrator to join Mid Mod Midwest.
You'll create amazing graphic representations of schematic designs for mid-century home remodels. We believe in (digitally) hand-illustrating and describing our design solutions clearly so that our clients can easily understand design options and feel creatively involved as we help them transform the house they have into the home they will love (with multiplied MCM charm).
This is a part-time, fully remote, and largely asynchronous role. We'll start with a training period working on 1-2 projects up to 20 hours a week. You'll be working remotely with our small team and closely collaborating with our Principal Architect and Operations Lead.
Post-training period, you can expect a workload of up to 35 (remote) hours a week, which we consider full-time at Mid Mod Midwest.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone with excellent hand and tablet drawing skills to help communicate design concepts to clients.
You are meticulous and observant. You like solving space planning challenges. You'll be creating sketches and working floor plans, documenting design ideas, gathering inspiration from outside sources, and participating in pulling together sketches, notes and reference images into neat packages to be shared with homeowners.
Ideally you live in Wisconsin.
NITTY GRITTY
Education: BS, BA, B.Arch. or related degree from an architecture or interior design program.
Experience: At least three full years of coursework in design.
ROLE ASSOCIATED TECH
Pay Range: $18-$22/hour based on qualifications
