Registration + Profile Setup

Registration

Step 1:

Start your registration after reviewing these registration instructions by visiting aiaw.org/register.

Step 2:

Complete all registration fields, and select a profile photo; adding a profile photo is not required, however it is recommended.*
*Your profile photo will display in multiple places on the platform, such as on your profile page, next to comments, and on joined group pages. You are able to add your profile photo after registration in your profile settings.

Step 3:

IMPORTANT: From the drop-down menu, select your user group:

Most registrants should choose "AIA Wisconsin Member."
If you are an AIA Wisconsin Partner, select "AIA Wisconsin Partner."

Next, enter your place of work. If your company is already in our system, select the matching option from the suggestions provided.

Step 4:

Strongly Recommended* Please select the checkbox under the Consent Check to receive emails about new events, posts, and updates from the platform.

*If you would like to opt-out at a later date, you can change your notification settings within your profile settings under consent options once you have registered.

Step 5:

IMPORTANT: If you are an existing or returning AIA Wisconsin member, your information is already in our database and must be matched to your new profile. Select the record that matches your information, then click 'Join Now'.

Once this step is complete, you will receive an email from AIA Wisconsin titled "Thank you for joining AIA Wisconsin" stating your registration request will be sent to the AIA Wisconsin staff team which will be approved as soon as possible.

Once your account is approved, you will receive an email titled "Your AIA Wisconsin Profile has been Approved" prompting you to log in, along with some pointers on what you'll be able to do as a member of our site. Please log in and refer back to this page if you need help getting started.

Profile Customization

To customize your profile, visit the homepage and click on your name displayed in the top right panel. In your profile, you can add, edit, and remove information about yourself, including:

Your location
Bio
Social Media Accounts
Add/Update Profile Photo
Work History
Education History
Achievements
Experience in Relevant Fields

Profile Settings

To customize your profile settings, including your privacy settings and private account information, visit the homepage and click on the Settings button immediately below your profile panel. In these settings, you can edit/update:

Consent Options: Opt in or out of email communications.
Privacy Settings: Choose whether your profile is visible to all AIA Wisconsin members or only your connections.
Phone #/Email Visibility: These default to 'Hidden' but you can choose to display them if you would like to allow members to contact you directly.
Hide Profile from Google
Hide Profile from Logged Out Users
Notification Settings
Personal Information not visible to the Online Community (email, password, date of birth, etc.)

You can also access the pages above from the dropdown menu located with your profile icon on the top navigation bar. In addition to your profile page and settings, you can also access:

My Connections: Review the members you've connected with and/or send them a message.
My Messages: This is where you will find your history of internal messages to other members.
My Memberships: Not currently applicable to our members as our membership is administered through AIA National
Post a Story: Have an achievement or story idea you'd like to share with us? Share your ideas here.
Invite Friends: Know an AIA Member who hasn't joined the AIA Wisconsin Member Community yet? Invite them to sign up using the link on the Invite Friends page.

Member Directory

To view the Member Directory, visit the homepage and click on the 'Member Directory' button below your Profile panel and the Settings button. Here you will be able to search for other members on the platform, filtering by name, city, industry, groups, and more.
