Buildings are responsible for over 40% of global carbon emissions and nearly a third in the U.S. (USGBC’s 2023 State of Decarbonization). Yet in Wisconsin, decarbonization remains an underutilized strategy — one that’s critical to protecting business investments, maintaining asset value, and preparing our communities for what’s ahead.
Join USGBC Wisconsin on June 12 in Milwaukee for a Building Transformation Forum focused on turning decarbonization from concept to practice. The program features a panel of business and sustainability leaders unpacking the market drivers, business case, and why proactive investments in sustainability are no longer optional for organizations planning for resilience and long-term success.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in one of two breakout sessions designed to inspire action and drive results:
Given the significant carbon emissions produced by the built environment, Wisconsin’s building sector has the potential to be a major driver of meaningful climate action. This forum will connect local practitioners and decision-makers around the tangible business, operational, and community benefits of sustainability, and how decarbonization strategies, paired with frameworks like LEED v5, can help future-proof Wisconsin’s built environment.
USGBC’s Building Transformation Forums convene industry leaders, practitioners, and sustainability professionals to learn and engage around specific, locally relevant topics. Built around growing connections and green building education, forum models adapt to meet audience needs and inspire action.
