Continuing Education Requirements – 2012 License Renewal
This summer, when you renew your Wisconsin architect license, you will need to have earned at least 24 hours of continuing education during the prior two year period, including 16 hours related to health, safety and welfare topics. These state administrative rules [Chapter A-E 12] establish minimum continuing education requirements for architects to renew their state license. The new rules will first apply when you renew your two-year Wisconsin license by August 2012. The AIA is listed as an approved provider of continuing education programs; and AIA members can use their AIA/CES transcript to document continuing education hours. This is a good time to print your AIA/CES transcript and check that it includes all of your learning activities.
