2008 AIA Wisconsin Convention & Building Products Expo

The 77th Annual AIA Wisconsin Convention & Building Products Expo offered members and allied professionals an opportunity to explore emerging design, practice, technology and environmental issues, as well as to investigate innovative products and services available to the design and construction industry.

Transformation

Architects and allied professionals by nature are in the business of transformation. We master plan, design and execute projects at all scales that ultimately transform the built and urban environment. Similarly, the challenges to the profession and practice of architecture have never been greater. Client demands, new technology and societal concerns are transforming the design and construction industry.

Sustainable design, integrated project delivery, BIM and new contract documents are some of the catalysts in the transformation of our profession. With that Transformation comes significant risk—but also the real possibility of an enhanced status that taps the skill set of architects and creates new possibilities in leadership, environmental design and profitability.
